Love the colors here. Is this closer to second beach or rialto beach? I'll be in that area the beginning of august and am hoping to maximize my time around the park.

Point of the Arches, which is the headland on the south side of Shi Shi Beach, is actually much further north. Its just south of Cape Flattery, which is the northwestern most point of the US. You take the same route you would to Second Beach/Rialto for part of the way but then the road splits off and heads north. Both areas are very cool. Shi Shi Beach is much more secluded though and a longer hike in. If you are trying to max your time in the park though, second beach is your best bet, as it puts you close to the Hoh rainforest and keeps you close to the mountains.

Oh ok I see now. We are going to be staying at the mora campground which seems to be one of the closer spots to second beach and rialto and I think it's only about a 45 min drive to the Hoh rainforest. Don't know if we will get into the mountains much, but I'd like to at least one of those days or evenings. Do you think the wildflowers up there would be fairly decent at the beginning of august?
