Sunrise on the Kulshan Ridge by Raymaker Sunrise on the Kulshan Ridge by Raymaker
Mt. Shuksan towers above the untouched powder of the Kulshan Ridge. Only a few hours later, this ridge and its beautiful snow would be tracked out by backcountry skiers and snowboarders

I love the soft morning lighting you captured and the overall depth in this image.

The only thing that bugs me is that front ridge of snow - not being there of course I have no idea of the conditions to really offer a comprehensive solution based on where you were, but if there was a way to angle and de-emphasize it a bit (maybe closer zoom? though then you'd lose the nice depth of the whole section of mountain in the back)... possibly try a version with part of that area cropped out to put more focus on the mountain and the sunrise... though even then you'd lose something of the depth.

(sorry combining critique with stream of consciousness. lol Partly for my own sake, I need to exercise my photographic vision again)

Of course, with those sunrises timing is everything, too, and you've captured stunning light, that perfect little spot of daybreak where you've still got that great contrast between warm sky and cool shadows.

Thanks for the comment. I have shots that are more cropped in, but, because the color in the clouds wasn't THAT great, and the light was hitting the perfect, untouched snow drifts so nicely, I chose the image that emphasize that aspect. Its tough because the mountain is SO amazing, but the snow conditions at the time were also amazing.
