Bean Peak catches the last bit of sunlight after the Indian Paintbrush enjoyed a warm sunny day in Bean Creek Basin. The hike to Bean Creek Basin was a challenging hike, not because of the distance or elevation gain, but because of the lack of trail in some areas. I couldn't count the number of times we found and lost the trail to this area. One hates to trudge, off trail, through a beautiful field of wildflowers such as this. The reward however, was that we had the entire basin to ourselves!
