Barclay Lake with Baring Mountain (elevation 6125' ) looming 3700' above it. This lake was far more amazing that what I had expected. I spent the entire evening sitting by the lake watching/listening to huge slabs of melting snow break off near the top of the peak and crash down the avalanche shoots. The light was amazing and there was no one there. Definitely well worth the hike back in the dark. This experience was a great kick off to the hiking season.
